Parliamentarian J.Sri Ranga meets with Indian delegation that visited Sri Lanka


The General Secretary of the Citizens’ Front, Parliamentarian J. Sri Ranga recently met with the Indian Delegation which visited Sri Lanka, in India. The Indian Parliamentary delegation headed by Opposition Leader Sushma Swaraj met with the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, two days after the meeting with MP J. Sri Ranga.

The meeting between J. Sri Ranga and the Indian Parliamentary delegation took place in New Delhi.

At this meeting the delegation’s visit to Sri Lanka and the views that they would exchange with the Indian Premier on the Tamil populace of Sri Lanka, came under discussion.


About the meeting, Sri Ranga MP stated that the talk focused on uplifting the standard of living of the people in Nuwara Eliya, Badulla and Kegalle. The areas touched upon were education, health, literature rate, employment, etc. of the Tamil speaking people residing in these areas. It was a fruitful meeting, he concluded.
